懸崖境(けんがいきょう)
旅館「福水」周辺の渓谷は右岸(海に向かって右の岸)が切り立ち、左岸は平坦になっています。この付近は断層がよくわかり、地質学の勉強に役立つところらしく百科事典にも「太田代断層」が写真とともに紹介されています。
懸崖には針葉樹も適度に点在し、秋にはコントラスト鮮やかな紅葉が楽しめます。
Kengaikyo（ overhhanging cliff)
Around the Hotel Fukusui,the right bank is a sheer cliff and the
other is flat. The earth fault is clearly discovered in this area
and very useful for geology. " Ohtashiro fault" is introduced
in an encyclopedia with a photograph.
At the overhanging cliff,conifers are moderately scattered about,
you can enjoy a brilliant contrast in the season of autumn tint. |
