朝市
牛久町と大多喜町で開かれています。牛久の朝市は、3と8のつく日の午前8時30分から正午にかけて、小湊鉄道上総牛久駅前の牛久商店街通りで開かれます。
青果、鮮魚、植木、青果、雑貨、衣類、加工食品などの店が立ち並びます。
大多喜町では、毎月5と10のつく日に開催します。地元でとれた山の幸、新鮮な野菜が並びます。(ほかに大原町が5と10の日、御宿町2と7のつく日、勝浦市は毎日開催)
●自然薯堀りは技術がいるけど、むかご(山芋の実?)取りは見つけさえすればあとは簡単。
このむかごが300円。塩茹でしてビールのつまみにしました。これぞ秋の味覚ですね。
Morning Fair
Morning Fairs are held in Ushiku and Otaki. The one in Ushiku
is held on the date of 3,8,13,18,28,30,31in Ushiku shopping
street near Jyoso Ushiku station of Kominato line, from 8:30
to the noon. Shops of Greengrocery, fish, plants,sundries,clothes,and
processed foods stand in the street. In Otaki, it is held on
the date of 5,10,15,20,25,30 every month. Fresh vegetables and
local products of the countryside are sold. (Also in Ohara /5,10,15,20,25,30,
Onjuku /2,7,12,17,22,27, Katsuura/every morning)
●Digging out Japanese yams is quite difficult,
but picking up Mukago(a propagule of a yam)is much easier
once you found it.
This packet of Mukago is 300 yen. Boil it in salt water,it'll
be something to nibble with your drink.This is the taste of
autumn, indeed.
